Andrew Broadbent

Conductor

Andrew studied singing at Trinity College of Music in London and graduated with Honours. During his studies he was a regular soloist, singing at many London concert venues and notably at the Royal Albert Hall with baritone Benjamin Luxton and the Royal Choral Society in the presence of Sir William Walton on the occasion of the composer’s 80th birthday. Andrew is very much in demand, performing with the choirs of St George’s Hanover Square, Chichester, Guildford and Winchester Cathedrals, Hampton Court Palace and St George’s Chapel, Windsor.

Since 1991 Andrew has been a Gentleman of the Choir of the Queen’s Chapel of The Savoy. he is a passionate teacher of singing and his work in Surrey extends to running a series of choral schemes and conducting choirs and ensembles for young musicians.

Jayne Parkin

Accompanist

Jayne has over 30 years’ experience as an Accompanist and Piano Teacher, having attained her practical training through the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She partners local schools - including West Byfleet Junior School - and has piano accompanied them at the Woking and Leith Hill Music Festivals. Jayne is also part of the Themba Theatre group, and has been the Music Director for a number of their productions including Oliver!

Jayne was recently the sole musician and pianist for a one day production of Handel’s Messiah for Horley Singers.

Jayne is proud of accompanying the West Byfleet Community Choir since its inception in 2016.


The Committee

The Choir is run by a committee, made up of a choir members. They are elected each year by the Choir.
