2026 and we’ve grown to nearly 50 strong now, and there are still some of the original familiar faces!

There is a saying, so it goes

From tiny acorns, mighty oaks do grow.

We started out so very small

With friends and teachers from school,

With Maestro Andrew and Piano Star Jayne

Piece by piece we lit the flame.

It is perfection that we seek

And come together week by week,

The tenors, altos, sops and bases

Leaving rehearsals with smiling faces.

We’ve attempted many different songs,

Struggled when the notes went wrong,

But step by step we’ve worked it through

So we can sing our songs to you.

We’ve managed choral, musicals and pop,

Never tried punk or grunge or hip hop!

Perhaps this Christmas if you implore us

We’ll try the Hallelujah Chorus!

And now we’re here, 10 years on

We don’t know where those years have gone!

From small beginnings to 50 strong

We’ve built our choir song by song.
